Terms, plainly.

1. 01

   Accounts are 18+. By creating an account you confirm you're at least 18. Under-18s can apply to roles as guests with a guardian's confirmation — that's the only way minors use IndieFilmers.

2. 02

   Projects are yours. You're responsible for the projects you post, the roles you open, and what happens on your set. IndieFilmers is the notice board, not the production.

3. 03

   Be who you say you are. No impersonation, no fake projects, no collecting applications for anything other than casting the project as described.

4. 04

   Casting terms are stated upfront. Paid or unpaid, age range, and photo policy are shown on every role. Don't change the deal after people apply.

5. 05

   Applications are for casting only. Applicant details and photos may only be used to cast the role applied for. No exporting to mailing lists, no sharing outside your production.

6. 06

   No fees to apply, ever. Charging applicants — for auditions, 'registration', or anything else — gets a project removed.

7. 07

   We can remove abuse. Projects or accounts that break these rules, or the law, can be suspended or removed. We'll say why.

8. 08

   Data follows the privacy rules. Retention and deletion work as described on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.

9. 09

   The service is provided as-is while in beta. We work to keep it reliable, but can't guarantee uptime or that a role gets cast.
